MetaMask Wallet Setup Guide

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This site does NOT work with Trust Wallet. Please use MetaMask only.

Setting up MetaMask is quick and easy! Follow this step-by-step guide to get your wallet ready for donations and campaign creation.


WALLET SETUP (3 minutes)

Step 1: Download MetaMask

Go to: https://metamask.io/download/
Install the browser extension or mobile app

Step 2: Add Polygon Network

  1. Open MetaMask

  2. Look at the top - you'll see "Ethereum Mainnet"

  3. Click on it → Select "Add Network"

  4. Click "Add Polygon Network" (it should appear as a popular option)

  5. Click "Approve" and "Switch to Polygon"

✅ You should see "Polygon Mainnet" at the top like this

Step 3: Get Ready

You'll need these tokens for the platform:

  • POL tokens (for fees)

  • USDC tokens (for donating)

  • Both can be purchased on most crypto exchanges


    Donation Process (Important!)

    IMPORTANT: Two-Step Donation Process

    When donating, you will see TWO MetaMask popups:

    1. First popup: "Approve" - This allows the website to access your USDC tokens

    2. Second popup: "Confirm" - This actually sends your donation

    You MUST approve BOTH popups for your donation to go through!

    Many users get confused when they see the second popup - this is normal and expected.



Gas Fee Settings

NOTE: When donating or creating campaigns, MetaMask will ask about gas fees - choose "Aggressive" for fastest processing.

What you'll see:

  1. You'll see this transaction screen

  1. Click "Edit" button as shown to see gas options, then select "Aggressive"

Troubleshooting

Still having issues?

  • Make sure you're using MetaMask (not Trust Wallet)

  • Ensure you're on the Polygon network

  • Check that you have enough POL for gas fees

  • Try refreshing the page and reconnecting your wallet
